Our razors are sustainable – officially certified by TÜV Austria with the "OK biobased" label. They are made from 99% biobased, renewable materials and are 99% CO₂-neutral and microplastic-free when disposed of in household waste.
Our disposable razors and the cartridges for our system razors are made from 99% biobased materials – sourced from by-products of other industries. In short: our material is valuable bio-waste. That’s why we’ve been awarded the highest certification by TÜV Austria – 4 stars "OK Biobased". The handle of our system razors is made of stainless steel and is so durable that it can theoretically last forever.
Lab tests conducted according to standard regulations always allow for minor tolerances. Because of this, achieving a full 100% biobased rating is technically very difficult.
Our razors, made from 99% biobased material, are just as sturdy, durable, and easy to care for as conventional plastic razors. They require no special care and are moisture-resistant. For our blades, we rely on premium Swedish steel to ensure a high-quality shave.
Whether it’s a disposable razor or the cartridges of the system razor – all our razors can be easily and sustainably disposed of in household waste. The protective caps are also made from biobased material. After your final shave, simply place the cap on the cartridge, detach it from the handle, and dispose of both together in the household waste. During the disposal process, the steel blades are separated for recycling, while the biobased material is safely, cleanly, and sustainably processed – with 99% less CO₂ and no microplastics.
It’s important to us that you know exactly how sustainable your razor really is – and we don’t make empty promises. Our material is officially certified to be 99% biobased, verified by TÜV Austria with the highest rating of 4 stars (EN 16640). Many other brands only use 30-50% sustainable materials and often avoid clear declarations.
Handles made from steel, wood, or bamboo are definitely better than plastic, but a sustainable handle alone doesn’t solve the real problem in the razor industry. The biggest contributor to plastic waste is the cartridge itself.

Conventional plastic is made from petroleum – its disposal always causes additional CO₂ emissions and microplastics, with all the well-known consequences for the environment and human health.
Our material, on the other hand, is 99% biobased, made from renewable raw materials that are by-products from other industries. This conserves fossil resources and reduces environmental impact.
After use, you can simply dispose of our razors in household waste. During incineration, 99% less CO₂ is released compared to fossil-based plastic – and our material contains no microplastics at all.
